About the workshop - The focus of this meeting will be on the molecular control of vascular development, cell signaling pathways in angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis, and mechanisms of patterning blood vessel growth and migration. As in our previous meetings, researchers working on vascular development in a wide variety of different models, including mice, frogs, birds, fish, flies, cell culture, will come together at the scenic and relaxing Asilomar Conference Grounds to share the latest unpublished research in this fast-moving and exciting scientific discipline. The connections between normal developmental control pathways and therapeutic interventions in tumor angiogenesis, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and tissue ischemia are still not well understood, and this cutting-edge meeting will reveal the new targets for interventions in the future. The invited speakers are of outstanding caliber and represent some of the premiere research labs in the area of developmental vascular biology.
Meet the Organizers - Dr. Brant M. Weinstein, NICHD/NIH and Dr. Richard O. Hynes, Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Howard Hughes Medical Institute, are co-organizers of this fourth presentation of the workshop.
Exhibitors include Aquatic Habitats, Olympus, Tecniplast Aquatic Solutions and VEC Technologies, Inc. See the Exhibitor Guide for more information (click here)

Abstract Submission - We encourage you to submit an abstract. Abstracts will be accepted via electronic submission. Topics for abstract submission include: Emergence of Vascular Lineages, Notch Signaling, Wnt Signaling, Novel Pathways Regulating Angiogenesis, Transcriptional and Post-transcriptional Control of Vascular Development, Pattern Formation in the Vasculature, and Other- Developmental Vascular Biology . Please read the "Policies, Rules and Guidelines" (downloadable pdf) before submitting your abstract. You must be registered for the meeting for your abstract to be accepted and programmed. In order to be considered for oral presentation your abstract must be submitted by December 15 - Click here to submit an abstract. We are now accepting abstracts for late-breaking poster presentations (through February 1).
Travel Awards - Postdocs, graduate students and residents are eligible for travel awards. These awards will be based on submitted abstracts. See the award criteria, #5 in the "Policies, Rules and Guidelins" Applications must be submitted with abstract by December 15.
