Vasculata is a summer course/workshop that promotes the study of vascular  biology.  It is designed to present an overview of the field and future areas of active  research.  Individuals with little or no background in vascular biology are encouraged to attend, and current trainees in the field and all interested individuals are invited to participate.  This includes students (undergraduates, graduate students, medical students), trainees (postdocs, research fellows, residents) and others (junior and senior faculty).

This year's highlights include a Keynote Lecture by Dr. Andrew Lichtman of Harvard Medical School - T Cell Control in Atherosclerosis: More Regulation is Needed; a dinner/reception on Wednesday evening and four exciting hands-on workshops: Functions of Flow Cytometry, Multiphoton Microscopy, in vivo Transfection and Applications of Hypercholesterolemic Zebrafish Model in Vascular Biology.

Vasculata 2013 will take place in the East Ballroom of the Price Center Building on the University of California, San Diego campus.
