Primary Research:

My research group is interested in the mechanosensitive inputs that direct mural cell recruitment to arteries during development. We are particularly interested in how mechanosensitive proteins couple force inputs from a 3D environment to alter transcription and gene expression in developing tissues. We use zebrafish and in vitro 3D modeling assays to mechanistically dissect these events.
