Primary Research:
Our lab focuses on ligand receptor interactions that promote cellular and tissue injury. We are presently investigating a widely expressed cell receptor CD47, and its high affinity ligand thrombospondin-1 and the role this pathway plays in several diseases including pulmonary arterial hypertension, sickle cell disease, systemic arterial vasculopathy, heart failure and acute kidney injury. .
