Primary Research: 
Our laboratory is interested in understanding the cellular and molecular constituents of hematopoietic stem cell niche. We have identified differential functions of vascular niches in the bone marrow. We are also interested in dissecting the mechanisms mediating vascular occlusion in sickle cell disease, a process in which we have identified a key role for activated neutrophils.
