CARLOS FERNÁNDEZ-HERNANDO -

Dr. Fernández-Hernando studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid. From 1999 to 2004, he performed his PhD with Prof. Miguel Angel Lasuncion at Hospital Ramon y Cajal (Madrid). He did his postdoctoral training with Prof. William Sessa at Yale University (2005-2009). Then, Carlos started his laboratory in the Department of Medicine at NYU. He is currently a Professor in the Comparative Medicine and Pathology Departments and a Member of the Vascular Biology & Therapeutics Program at Yale School of Medicine.  Dr. Fernández-Hernando was the first recipient of the Springer Junior Investigator Award in 2011.
