Primary Research:

The Liu lab research studies lymphatic vessels during development and cardiovascular diseases. We study molecular mechanisms and signal cues that guides early lymphatic vessel formation and development. In parallel, we have a strong focus to understand lymphatic functions in cardiovascular diseases, particularly ischemic cardiac diseases. We seek to identify previous unknown developmental pathways and use them for the treatment of lymphatic related disorders/diseases.
